At first, I couldn’t believe that a cactus would bear fruits when I was informed that we will be packing Pitahaya aka Pitaya or Yellow Dragon Fruit for export. I was thinking of cactus as a thorny plant that can thrive in places with low humidity or a source of water for stranded persons in deserts, as seen in movies.
And when i saw the fruit, I thought it doesn’t look like a fruit and it was not pleasing to the eyes. However, the taste was great, especially when cold and upon research, it was said to be beneficial.
But what i noticed was that the fruit came from a beautiful blossom, as seen in the picture about that i took at Eden Mountain Resort. It would have been wonderful if the fruit could match the beauty of its blossom.
